Margalla Awards are high achievement awards of Pakistan bestowed by IPRI to recognize the exceptional work done in the field of national security and general professional by a young individual.
National Security Analyst Award
To recognize the excellence in research and policy in the National Security domain
Criteria
An analyst with the in-depth understanding of their respective area/
region of study.
To be considered for the awards, the committee would focus on
following indictors:
1. Considerable contribution to national security field in the form
of outstanding publication/ programmatic input.
2. Demonstrable experience of researching security/ strategic
issues.
3. Demonstrable impact of policy advice/ recommendation.
4. A relevant educational and professional background in the
national security discipline.
5. Institutional affiliation and position
Young Professionals Award
To recognize outstanding leadership, innovation and impact in any industry by a young professional.
Criteria
A professional under the age of 35 who has done groundbreaking and
impactful work in any industry demonstrating innovative thinking and
tech-driven solutions.
To be considered for the awards, the committee would focus on
following indicators:
1. Must be under the age of 35.
2. Must have relevant educational and professional experience.
3. Demonstrated evidence of the scale and impact of the work.
4. Has the traits of future leadership and commitment to service.
5. Clear use of digital media for positive and good work.
6. The scalability of the initiative for transformational change.
7. The level of innovation and creativity of the digital work.
Process
Step 1: IPRI is going to invite nominations from the public for the
awards mentioned above through an open-source survey.
Step 2: Those nominations will be vetted by the internal IPRI review
team.
Step 3: The shortlisted nominations will be passed on the Expert
Panel to finalize the winners. The expert panelist will judge
according to the indicators mentioned.
Step 4: Awards will be presented at the Margalla Dialogue in the
opening session.
Expert Panel
The Expert Panel will be responsible for making the final selection
of the awards from the nominations.
